Membaca Kisah Minyak Seorang Janda dalam 2 Raja-raja 4 dari Narasi Pemaknaan Kaum Pentakostal

Abstract: In essence, every couple must have a noble desire to go through marriage until death, share joy and sorrow, and grow old together. Becoming a widow is not a choice that a wife wants, including the wife of the prophet as narrated in 2 Kings 4: 1-7. The death of her husband was compounded by the problem of debts and debts which also dragged her two sons into ransom, until the wife met the prophet Elisha to ask for a solution to the various problems she was facing. Through the prophet Elisha, God answered by giving clear instructions that the prophet's widow needed to borrow as many vessels as possible from her neighbors, and fill the vessels with the oil in the flask she had. This article intends to read the story of a widow's oil in 2 Kings 4: 1-7 from the Pentecostal narrative of meaning. It is hoped that through the use of qualitative narrative methods and literature studies, we will be able to provide a strong and in-depth picture regarding the views of the Biblical narrative about the life of a widow, the story of the widow's oil in 2 Kings 4, and the narrative of the Pentecostals' meaning of the widow's oil. In conclusion, for Pentecostals this story means the importance of understanding that the best solutions come from God, often the means that God uses already exist in our environment, collaboration, and choosing to remain under God's guidance.
Abstrak: Pada hakekatnya setiap pasangan pastilah memiliki sebuah keinginan luhur untuk mengarungi mahligai pernikahan hingga ajal menjemput, berbagi suka dan duka, hingga menua bersama. Menjadi janda bukanlah pilihan yang diinginkan oleh seorang istri, tak terkecuali istri nabi yang dinarasikan dalam 2 raja-raja 4: 1-7. Kematian suaminya, ditambah lagi dengan masalah hutang piutang yang turut menyeret kedua putranya untuk menjadi tebusan, hingga akhirnya sang istri menemui nabi Elisa untuk meminta jalan keluar dari berbagai persoalan yang dihadapinya. Melalui nabi Elisa, Tuhan pun menjawab dengan memberikan instruksi yang jelas bahwa sang janda nabi ini perlu meminjam sebanyak mungkin bejana dari tetangganya, serta mengisi penuh bejana tersebut dengan minyak yang ada dalam buli-buli yang dimilikinya. Adapun artikel ini bermaksud untuk membaca kisah minyak seorang janda dalam 2 Raja-raja 4: 1-7 ini dari narasi pemaknaan kaum Pentakostal. Diharapkan melalui penggunaan metode kualitatif naratif dan kajian literatur sanggup memberikan gambaran yang kuat dan mendalam terkait tilikan narasi Alkitab tentang kehidupan janda, kisah minyak janda dalam 2 Raja-raja 4, dan narasi pemaknaan kaum Pentakostal tentang minyak seorang janda ini. Disimpulkan bagi kaum Pentakostal kisah ini bermakna pentingnya memahami bahwa solusi terbaik datangnya dari Tuhan, seringkali sarananya yang Tuhan gunakan sudah ada dalam lingkungan kita, pentingnya kolaborasi, dan memilih untuk tetap dalam tuntunan Tuhan.
